I'm Coach Ethan — a certified lifeguard and swim instructor based in Frederick, Maryland. I teach kids and adults to swim with confidence, and I bring the same safety-first mindset to every lesson and every pool I guard.
Whether your child is nervous about the water, you're an adult learning from scratch, or you want to sharpen your strokes, we go at your pace. Lessons are private or small-group, and I travel across the Gaithersburg area so you can learn in a pool you're comfortable in.
Beyond lessons, I offer certified lifeguard coverage for pool parties, HOA pools, and events — so everyone stays safe while they have fun in the water.

What ages do you teach?
Children from about age 3 through adults of any age. Every lesson is tailored to the swimmer's age, level, and comfort in the water.
Where do lessons take place?
I travel to your pool across the Gaithersburg area — home pools, community pools, or HOA pools. If you don't have access to a pool, reach out and we'll find an option.
My child is afraid of the water. Can you help?
Absolutely. A lot of my students start out nervous. We go slow, build trust through play, and never force anything. Confidence comes first.
Are you certified?
Yes — I'm a Red Cross certified Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor, and I'm CPR/AED certified. Safety is the foundation of every lesson and guard shift.
Do you offer lifeguard services for events?
